June 15 Meeting | Community Service Sew

Our June Meeting was a Community Service Sew dedicated to making throw-sized quilts for the Metro Nashville Family Safety Center – which creates a supportive environment for victims of domestic violence to receive free and confidential services like counseling and legal aid. As always, we started off with our show-and-tells that you can see above!

The Family Safety Center is not a shelter, but does offer a safe space for families fleeing violence, so they approached us about making some modern quilts to cozy up some of their common areas. We had so many hands on quilts at the meeting that we finished both tops (mostly) in record time! A huge thank you to all who came out to participate!
